A Release Manager at ClearForest will be in charge of the release cycle of Clear Forest products. He/She will work with product managers, project managers, development group, QA group and deployment in order to assure smooth releases of the products working in continuous development mode. The Release Manager will have the responsibility and the authority to make decisions regarding the release when conflicts arise while guided by relevant managers. He/She will also take part in defining and optimizing the release process for smooth release cycles.

The day to day activities include participating in discussions regarding the content of a release, confirming proper resources are allocated in development and QA, synchronizing between the everyday development and QA activities, assisting the development and QA in removing obstacles and moving tasks forward, manage bug review sessions and assist in setting priorities for fixes, resolve conflicts of resources or requirements in a release, confirm QA approvals of a release and assure smooth deployment in production.

The Release manager will be reporting to the Director of Development and will also work closely with the Head of Product, Head of QA and Program Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
  • Strong technical background
  • Knowledge of software life-cycles
  • Knowledge of software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems.
  • At least 5 years experience in the high tech industry (either as a developer, a project/product manager, QA, etc)
  • At least 2 year experience as a project manager or as a development team leader with extended responsibility beyond the project/team
  • Proven experience in matrix management
  • Ability to lead and drive a team forward
  • Ability to understand the details while maintaining a good high level understanding of complex products
  • Excellent personal communication skills
  • Excellent English proficiency
